App tutorial (practice the app inside the app)

The fastest way to understand Adaptive Learner is to learn the app with its own lesson mechanics. That is exactly what the bundled lesson set "Adaptive Learner — App-Tutorial" is for: a twelve-part interactive beginner tutorial (in German) that walks you through how the app works — as real lessons with short theory and exercises, not a dry manual.

Because it is a content set (not an AI chat), it needs no AI API key. The set is bundled offline into the app, so it is available right away — including in the public online version.

The link goes to the tutorial's set page (no longer just the Dashboard). If the set is not downloaded yet, the page offers "Download & start"; then you begin with lesson 1 right away. You can share this exact link from the set's Share button too (copy the link or a QR code).

Why start with the app tutorial?

  • You practice while you learn. Instead of reading instructions, you play real lessons and see your result with stars at the end — the same loop that carries you through every topic later.
  • No setup required. No AI key, no account, no internet after the first load. Ideal for the first few minutes.
  • It covers the app basics — navigation, how a lesson runs, the dashboard, progress and reviews — in short, manageable units.

How to start it

Fastest via the direct link in the Open it directly section above. Alternatively, via the Content Browser:

  1. Open the Content Browser at /content (or Discover at /discover).
  2. Search for "App-Tutorial" or "Adaptive Learner". The set is named Adaptive Learner — App-Tutorial (source German, target German, level "Einsteiger", 12 lessons).
  3. Click the set to download it — it is cached locally (filesystem in backend mode, IndexedDB in browser-only mode).
  4. Start lesson 1 and work through it. Each lesson is short; you read a little theory and do a few exercises.
  5. After each lesson you see your stars, and items you answered incorrectly are automatically scheduled for a later review.

Jump right in

You do not have to finish onboarding to play the app tutorial. Just open the Content Browser, download the set and begin — this is the quickest way to get to know the app by doing.
