Praise and celebrations¶
Adaptive Learner celebrates your progress so that learning feels rewarding - without getting in your way. Celebrations are earned, never patronizing: the more significant the achievement, the more prominent the feedback.
What you'll see¶
- Correct answers get a quick green pulse, a check icon, and occasionally a short praise phrase below the answer. A wrong answer shows a gentle red flash and the correction (the exact words to fix) - never criticism.
- Finishing a lesson reveals your score counting up, your star rating, and an encouraging message. A perfect (3-star) run adds a confetti burst.
- Milestones - a 7/30/100-day streak, a new level, 50/100/500 mastered elements, or a new badge - appear as a brief banner at the top of the screen and dismiss themselves.
Feedback intensity¶
Settings > Interface > Feedback Intensity lets you choose how loud the celebrations are:
- Subtle - only the correct/wrong colour. No phrases, no confetti, no milestone banners.
- Normal (default) - animations, praise phrases, and confetti on a perfect score.
- Enthusiastic - everything, plus milestone banners and a praise phrase on every correct answer.
If your device requests reduced motion, animations are switched off automatically and the intensity is kept subtle, regardless of this setting.
Sounds¶
Sounds are off by default - you are never surprised by audio. Turn them on in Settings > Interface > Sounds, then use the volume slider and the Test button to preview. Sounds are short synthesized chimes and are always supplementary: every cue they give is also shown on screen.
